Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

When we allow for deep rest inside of a neutral, supportive, and open hearted place, it allows for a sensorial experience of Inner Wisdom, and inner healing.  Within this safe container, a client can navigate the world within - to sense the interweaving of mind, body, spirit.

What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?

What can I expect from a session?

Who is it for?

What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?  With origins in Osteopathy and strong influences from Native American bone setting, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy supports regulating the nervous system and the body's natural ability to heal itself.  As places of "dis-ease" are revealed in a session, a practitioner takes cues from the body's innate wisdom, or Inherent Treatment Plan, (rather than a practitioner's protocol) to bring the system back to balance and ease.

What can I expect from a session?  A session is similar to massage in that the client is on a massage table and the practitioner applies touch.  In BCST the client stays fully clothed, and the practitioner's touch is light and still.  We sense into the physical and energetic parts of the system and often a state of balance is revealed - an awareness of health within the body, mind, and spirit.  Some compare it to a feeling of deep relaxation, or a meditative stillness. From that foundation of deep rest, the body may reveal places of tension or patterns to be seen and released, or rebalanced.  Every session is truly unique.  Please allow for up to 75 minutes when scheduling a 60 minute session.  Because we don't follow protocols, but the body's cues, sessions may run longer than planned.

After receiving a session clients often report feeling:
Deeply relaxed, peaceful
A decrease in physical discomfort/pain
More balanced (in the physical, mental, emotional)
Energy moving through their body while on the table, and afterwards
Relief
Spacious
Grounded
An experience of the body/mind/spirit connection

After receiving several sessions over time clients may notice:
A greater capacity to stay grounded/centered amidst outside stressors
Greater self awareness - (for example, sensing when anxiety comes in, and being able to tend to oneself, rather than get caught up in a whirlwind of thoughts and worry)
Greater compassion for those around
An inner knowing and sensing of their body's healing potential
Relief from physical pain and stiffness
Engaging in more acts of self care
Better digestion, better sleep
Deepened spiritual connection
Empowerment

These are just some examples of common effects of the work. The results really have so much to do with a client's intention when they come to the session. We work in a partnership to listen to the body and allow healing processes to unfold in right timing.

Who is it for?  Anyone!  I just ask that you come with an open mind and open heart.
